Dear SPIBA members,
We would like to announce the upcoming election of three new members to the SPIBA Executive Committee. This is your opportunity to contribute to the Association, to make sure that your opinions and ideas are part of SPIBA’s future. Executive Committee members normally meet at least once a month to decide the policy and actions of the Association (including budgets and expenditures). EC members also may head an independent committee within the organization or lead a specific area of SPIBA’s operation. EC members do not receive any financial compensation for their work but their input and contribution (and attendance) is highly valuable and recognized by SPIBA members.
We sincerely thank all the nominees for their consent to participate in elections of the Executive Committee.
We have 4 candidates for 3 positions. We are glad to have competition! This shows the interest in our community and allows you to choose the strongest.
All candidates are very reputable and busy people, but they agreed to invest their time and talents to development of our association.
Vladislav Zabrodin
Managing partner of legal company Capital Legal Services, within all this year takes the most active part in development and introduction of new strategy of SPIBA, its more practical orientation to interests of members. The fact that SPIBA is changing now is partly a merit of Vladislav and employees of his company. Vladislav has long-term experience of successful interaction with the Government of St.-Petersburg and Leningrad region.
Peter de Jong
Regional manager of AirFrance – KLM for St. Petersburg and North-West of Russia, is a new member of Association and a new member of international community in St. Petersburg. We will be happy to have new foreign participants in the Executive committee. Peter has many interesting ideas and new view at our work, which is always useful. Industry, which represents Peter is new for SPIBA and interesting for our members.
Karina Chichkanova
Partner of Salans St. Petersburg office and head of the real estate and PPP projects practice, working in well-known international company, has extensive experience of business development on a sustainable basis. Karina is ready to share her experience. Her company supports SPIBA for a long time, participating in Executive committee and being a sponsor of our events.
Vladimir Lutkov
Head of department in Consu SP, Finnish consulting company that works with many Finnish enterprises that come to the Russian market. He has a great experience in development of entrepreneurial projects/ Vladimir also has excellent working relations with representatives of the city administration.
These summaries have been written and presented in order to assist you in making a choice when voting. Each member company should complete one ballot voting for not more than THREE candidates or abstain. A ballot is attached to this message. This is perhaps the most important duty of each SPIBA member as you are selecting the people who will guide the Association and set its policy. Please join us in thanking the candidates for committing to volunteer their time to SPIBA.
Please promptly return completed ballots to the SPIBA office by fax at 812-325-9092 or via e-mail at office@spiba.ru by September 15, 2010, or at the SPIBA General Meeting that will be held on Wednesday September 15, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. (registration of participants will begin at 6:00 p.m.) at the Pavlova Conference Hall of the Angleterre Hotel at 24, Malaya Morskaya ul. We will then notify you about the election results the following day via email.
Please note that all the completed ballots will be processed on a confidential basis.
