11-13/06 – Warsaw Humanitarian Expo 2019

The Warsaw Humanitarian Expo 2019 (WHE2019) will be held on 11- 13th June 2019 in Warsaw (venue: Ptak Warsaw Expo, Nadarzyn). It is the first event of expo-conference type on humanitarian and development matters organized in Poland, as well as the only one taking place in Central and Eastern Europe. The formula based on participation of business (also international), NGOs, government institutions and international organizations’ representatives is also quite unique. Thus, Warsaw Humanitarian Expo 2019 becomes a rare opportunity to meet entrepreneurs, experts and humanitarian and development aid decision-makers in one place.

Warsaw Humanitarian Expo is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, PTAK Warsaw Expo and Lubawa S.A. Institutions from Austria, Czech Republic, Greece, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine are partners of the Warsaw Procurement Forum (an inherent part of the Expo).

The event will be held under the honorary patronage of Mr. Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland.

Main objective of the Warsaw Humanitarian Expo is to stimulate the activity of business in the area of humanitarian aid and to work on developing further ties between business and institutions which provide humanitarian and development aid.

Warsaw Humanitarian Expo is based on of 3 pillars:

  1.  High Level Conference – Responsible Business for Humanitarian Emergencies – which aims to promote the concept of business’ engagement in humanitarian and development aid. One of the panelists  taking part in the conference is going to be Mark Lowcock, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator and the Head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
  2.  Warsaw Procurement Forum (WPF) – a set of trainings and workshops on effective participation in the international organizations’ tenders, especially registration rules for vendors, good practices and “success stories” of other companies. Core participants of Warsaw Procurement Forum are going to be representatives of the UN system organizations (FAO, WHO, UNHCR, UNDP, WFP and many more), as well as the EU, International Red Cross and Red Crescent and international NGOs.
  3. Exhibiton/Fair – for entrepreneurs, whose stands will be divided into following zones: logistics and communication; medical aid; shelter; safety; food. An “agency zone”  where institutions, NGOs or even start-ups will find their space will also be organized.

We aim to develop a real „Humanitarian City” in the “Agency zone”. Polish and international NGOs will be in a position  to present their projects and exhibitions, discuss their successes and failures, as well as arrange meetings with representatives of business and international organizations in order to convince them that their actions are important and purposeful.

We invite all interested, in particular business representatives but also all others who take genuine interest in humanitarian and development aid, to become a partner of the Warsaw Humanitarian Expo 2019 .
