Olesya Novikova, Leonid Sarafanov, Alexander Sergeev, Maria Bayankina, Anastasia Kalagina, Oksana Shilova, Victoria Yastrebova, Yuri Vorobyev, Dmitry Voropaev and other renowned performers support the fosterlings of Charitable Organization Perspektivy.
On June 7th, 2019 at 8 p.m., opera and ballet stars will give a charitable concert at the stage of the Alexandrinsky theater. They will take no honoraria for their performance, and all the funds raised will be used to support children and young people with severe disabilities.
This year’s list of participants includes Farukh Ruzimatov, premiere of the Mikhailovsky Theater Leonid Sarafanov, stars of the Mariinsky Ballet Victoria Tereshkina, Ekaterina Kondaurova, Daria Pavlenko, Olesya Novikova, Igor Kolb, Alexander Sergeev, Alexei Timofeev, Roman Belyakov, as well as students of the Academy of Russian Ballet named after A.Vaganova. The opera program features performances by Yusif Eyvazov, soloists of the Mariinsky Theater Ekaterina Semenchuk, Maria Bayankina, Anastasia Kalagina, Oksana Shilova, Viktoria Yastrebova, Yury Vorobev, Dmitry Voropaev. The concert will be accompanied by the Tavrichesky Symphony Orchestra of the Leningrad Region led by conductor and art director Mikhail Golikov.
These prominent performers not only want to raise funds, but also draw attention to the problems of people with severe disabilities and their families calling for understanding, tolerance, and support.
Funds raised at the concert will be used to sponsor activities of Perspektivy’s art studio based in the Psycho-neurological Boarding School № 3. The art studio was founded in 2001 and has conducted art and exhibition activities ever since. Its collection has more than 3,000 artworks of various genres, from abstract painting to digital art. Presently, the studio welcomes more than 50 visitors per week. Many of its artists have their own unique styles and are well-accepted and recognized both in Russia and beyond. The studio is currently run by curator Alexander Ivanov as well as pedagogists Oksana Bashta and Pavel Krol.
Charity Fund Blizkie Drugiye was founded in 2016 basing on the expertise and resources of Charitable Organization Perspektivy. Its aim is to support organizations that work with similarly vulnerable groups of population. The fund creates opportunities to provide systematic assistance to people with severe disabilities and their families at the federal level.
It is the fourth time when Charity Fund Blizkie Drugiye and Charitable Organization Perspektivy have organized the gala concert of opera and ballet stars. The first event took place in the Alexandrinsky theater on June 3d, 2016. Such celebrities as Ildar Abdrazakov, Diana Vishneva, Maria Guleghina, Uliana Lopatkina took part in the initiative. A great number of volunteering performers regularly participate in the event. The funds raised at the concerts have enabled us to build one of Russia’s first houses of supportive living in Razdolye village, sponsor the work of the famous art studio founded by Perspektivy on the premises of Psycho-neurological Boarding School № 3, and provide compensation to specialists for lessons with children living in Boarding School №4.
