Dear friends, we congratulate you on your first day of spring! Spring is always new opportunities!
In February were held elections of HR committee. New team of co-chairs set a plan of the committee events for 2011. That is wonderful, since this committee is a main expert and opinion leader in the market of our talents. The growth of SPIBA human capital largely depends on it. We congratulate all of the co-chairs with election results! We are very happy when our active members are back in SPIBA! Oksana Pochtivaya was one of the best co-chairs of HR Committee while working in other companies. Now she is returned to us and brought new ideas and new opportunities!
On February 10 we held a meeting leaders of the Committee of Labor and Employment. Elena Monakhova described the work of the department and answered questions of participants. We see that the labor market new trends related to demographics and changing economic situation are noticeable. It is always useful to get this information “first hand”.
February 11. Seminar “Changes in customs procedures due to coming into effect of the Law on customs regulations”. What is an Authorized Economic Operator you can find here. This ability to understand the practical implementation of all changes to customs legislation allows us to understand “which way the wind blows” at the customs. SPIBA recently opened a hotline through which you can ask all the questions. We call everyone to use it! Customs is always a hot issue! While this does not depend on time of year!
The theme of the Marketing Committee meeting on February 15 was “Media as business development tool”. Galina Pozharina, PhD/DCS, Educational programs Specialist, Begun made a presentation about possibilities of promotion Online. These opportunities we create as the development of the Internet and new technologies as well as companies that develop business in this direction, introducing new services in the network. It is wonderful when you can learn all this from an expert and understand what these new opportunities are. Oksana Fedulova, Commercial director of Kommersant Publishing House, spoke about the possibilities of interaction with the printed matters. The presentation can be viewed here.
On February 15 Oksana Kovaleva, co-chair of SPIBA Legislation and Lobbying Committee participated in the meeting of the Public Advisory Board of FAS. SPIBA is also a member of the Advisory Board.February 16. Business tour to Nissan plant. This trip has attracted many of our members. Number of seats was limited, so we even had a little contest. We saw a very impressive level of automation and Japanese system of quality management in practice. We hope that this is only the beginning of our acquaintance with this company. And we will also continue the practice of company visits. It is always better to see once than to hear many times!
At the meeting of the Legislation and Lobbying Committee on February 21 were discussed latest changes in tax legislation which entered into force in 2011. This discussion has been helpful to all participants. Obviously, it was useful not only for professional lawyers, but for representatives of financial services companies as well. In the future we will expand the number of events for financiers.
Committee for City Improvement and Roads and SPIBA’s Environment, Health and Safety Committee invite you to participate in the Contest of the Best Ecological Projects implemented in 2008-2010.
The contest is held in two categories:
- Best technology solution for the protection of the environment;
- Best Social Ecological Project
The winners will be awarded by the Government of St. Petersburg. Presentation of the best project will be held during the Petersburg Environmental Week on March 22, 2011.
