October 21st 2014 meeting with the Heads of the Economic Development Agency of Leningrad region with participation by Golik Irada Talehovna, Acting Director, and Sergeev Mikhail Dmitryevich, Head of the investment projects department. The objectives of the event included to raise awareness of the legal regulation of investments in the Leningrad region by current and potential investors; of risks and opportunities that influence investors in the current conditions of economic sanctions; and of investment support and development efforts of the region’s authorities.

October 24th 2014 a “Breakfast with Director” meeting was held. This time the guest speaker of the event was the Managing Director of the North-West Russia division at Danone Russia, Tomas Hajek who spoke on the topic of merging two cultures and businesses. For the last 7 years Tomas has been working at Danone as Marketing Director, including 4 years in the Middle East. In 2011, Tomas was appointed to the Russian CBU of Danone as Marketing Director in the category of modern dairy products. In September 2012, Tomas was appointed as Managing Director of the North West Division of Danone Russia.
October 28th 2014 SPIBA Marketing and Communication Committee organized a roundtable on “Government Relations Practices in Russia: current state and perspectives.” The authorities, heads and leading professionals of GR-departments of the largest companies in Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region and professional lawyers took part in the event. During the meeting discussion touched on the issues of collaboration of business and government, assessment of the effectiveness of collaboration with stakeholders, and building dialogue between government and business through effective cooperation with business associations, etc.
October 29th 2014 SPIBA General Meeting with participation of the guest speaker – Professor Koen Schoors, Vlerick Business School, Director of CERISE, was held in the Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace. During the meeting Stefan Van Doorslaer, the Head of SPIBA Executive Committee, announced and gave certificates to new members of the association. Also the election of co-chairpersons of SPIBA Executive Committee took place which resulted in the election of Karina Chichkanova, Dentons, and Vladislav Zabrodin, Capital Legal Services.
