The name of Nathan Altman (1889-1970) was especially attractive for the artists of Leningrad during the formation of the underground. The multi-talented Altman proved himself to be both a painter and a theater artist, an illustrator and a sculptor. The fate of the artist, his biography is inextricably linked with his searches and experiments, he was sensitive to new trends in art.
The conversation about Altman inevitably goes to the core themes of 20th century art, and the exhibition will be an excellent opportunity to discuss this. The meeting will be accompanied with a glass of light sparkling wine or coffee and a crispy French croissant.
The meeting will be held in Russian.
