International Conference “Cooperation of Universities and Employers” in the framework of Saint-Petersburg International Labour Forum
On the 1-2 March, 2018 in ExpoForum in the framework of Saint-Petersburg International Labour Forum an International Conference “Cooperation of Universities and Employers” will be held.
The organizer of the Conference is Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics. The co-organizers are: The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of St. Petersburg, The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Leningrad region, The Club of employers.
The forthcoming Conference is an integral part of Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Project “Cooperation of Universities and Employers for Quality and Relevance of Education”. The project is dedicated to research of the European HEIs’ experience in cooperation with employers and policy makers and dissemination of the accumulated knowledge. The main goal of the project is to facilitate a dialogue between all actors of educational process of tertiary level.
The Conference will be cohesive in a series of Project’s events. It will unite teachers, administrative officers from HEIs, researchers, representatives of business, educational authorities, governmental officials, public administrators, civil society representatives to discuss the most attractive mechanisms of employer-HEIs cooperation (with the findings about the European ways), to make evaluation of possibility of their adaptation in Russia, to motivate the academics to use European approaches wherever possible in their work and to inspire employers to participate actively in education processes.
The Conference will be divided in the following sections:
- Models of UBC (University-Business cooperation) in Europe.
- Occupational standards and skills map: cooperation or competition?
- Cooperation of Universities and Employers in R&D.
- Cooperation of Universities and Employers in the way to overcome youth unemployment and work in the anti-accordance with received profession.
The working languages will be English and Russian.
