SPIBA calls for participants in the review competition “A responsible attitude towards the environment in 2016-2017 by enterprises and organizations in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region”

REVIEW COMPETITION 

“A responsible attitude towards the environment in 2016-2017 by enterprises and organizations in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region“

Organizer: SPIBA

Co-organizers: (Confirmed) Committee on Environmental Management, Environmental Protection and Ensuring Ecological Safety of St. Petersburg, “Vedomosti” newspaper.

Dates of competition: April 18 – 9 June 2017

Date of announcement of the winners: in the week 14-15 June 2017 (the event is timed to the Day of Ecology of Russia, 5 June 2017).

Participants: Enterprises and organizations – SPIBA members which implemented projects in the field of environmental protection in 2016-2017 in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.

Projects can be the installation of new equipment, business processes reorganization and any other measures aimed at reducing the negative impact on the environment.

Participants can be both from industrial and other sectors.

Nominations:

1. The best project in the field of treatment plants
2. The best project in waste recycling
3. The best project in the sphere of management of atmospheric emissions and greenhouse gases
4. The best project in the field of preservation and energy efficiency
5. The best project in the field of responsible attitude to the environment of non-imdustrial companies
6. The best volunteer project in the field of environmental protection

Criteria for selection:

1. Innovation of the project
2. Importance of the effect on the environment
3. Involving a large number of employees, customers and / or suppliers
4. Significant investment

Requirements for participants:

1. Full company name, INN, NACE, mailing address, Director’s name
2. The name of the project (set of measures), orientation, the goal.
3. Presentation of the project / activities (no more than 10 slides): description, investment, effect achieved, photo release etc.

The winners are determined by the results of the votes which are made by the members of the competition committee consisting of the SPIBA Executive Committee and profile committees.

Announcement of the winners – in the framework of the round table with the representatives of SPIBA, business community, the committees and journalists.
