Working on efficiency and productivity can reduce dependence on personnel shortages and increase the overall competitiveness of the enterprise. Many companies have named this area as a priority. Among the main tools for increasing labor productivity are optimization of business processes, personnel training, and “total” automation. But is it true that now, during difficult economic conditions, the issue of productivity is “on the edge” for business – are steps being taken to confirm this? What do companies that have decided to focus on efficiency pay attention to first of all, and what role do HR departments play in this work? We will discuss these topics at the RBC Petersburg round table as part of the Human Centricity Management study.

Questions for discussion:

  • Can working with efficiency and productivity reduce the impact of staff shortages?
  • What can be automated in hiring, what does not work and will never work?
  • What examples of automation in business have shown their effectiveness, and which turned into a fiasco?
  • Robotics. A wonderful dream or a dangerous “horror story”? Has robotization begun in Russian business?
  • Non-manufacturing sector – what can and should be automated and robotized? Is it possible to automate work with people?
  • Automation in HR – the practice of trial, success and error. What can be automated and what cannot be automated?
  • Is working with people, their efficiency, an alternative to expensive investments in technology and equipment? What are the main tasks of HR services in the fight for business efficiency growth?
