A Pocketful of Dreams. Art Deco Fashion from the State Hermitage and Nazim Mustafayev Collections.

From April 30, 2025, the Manege of the Small Hermitage will host the exhibition “Packaged Dreams. Art Deco Fashion from the State Hermitage and Nazim Mustafayev Collections.” The exhibition is dedicated to women’s fashion of the 1920s – early 1930s, a time when Art Deco was the dominant artistic movement.

The exhibition displays masterpieces from the Hermitage collection of paintings and drawings of this period – works by Henri Matisse, Raoul Dufy, Erte and other masters. The exposition will be complemented by movie posters from the 1920s from the State Hermitage’s collection of printed graphics.

The exhibition was prepared by the State Hermitage with the participation of the Nazim Mustafayev collection (St. Petersburg), the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology (Moscow) and private collections.
