We have reached the end of the first month of summer, and with it passed the longest day of the year! For those who celebrated it with us on our annual cruise, we have prepared wonderful photos from the event! We thank the participants for a great atmosphere, our town for sunny weather, sponsors for all the amazing gifts and all of you for the hot dances!

Traditionally, for the city on the Neva June is the most intense and stressful month of the year. Our association is no exception, all five committees of SPIBA organized many interesting activities for our members to provide food for thought before the period of vacations and holidays!

In the summer it is worth considering what souvenirs and gifts you will present to your business partners and customers in the New Year and other upcoming holidays. Fabrizio Capucci, regional director of the company MidOceanBrands, spoke about today’s trends in the promotional industry at the Marketing Committee event on June 14th. At this meeting we answered the question of how to effectively use business gifts.

The meeting of the Committee on Human Resources was held on the 14^th of June, with speakers from various leading companies shared their experience on “Problematic dismissal.” You can read a review of the event in the new section of our site!

The Committee on Environment, Health and Safety organized a meeting for Members with Kuznetsova Anna B., Deputy Head of the Neva-Ladoga Water Basin Management, Head of the department of water resources in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. Among the participants were representatives from the environmental departments of manufacturing companies to discuss problems associated with the activity of NLBVU.

June 21^st the Finance Committee held a conference with the participation of Konstantin V. Novoselov, deputy head of the Russian Federal Tax Service Control Department, on “Recent developments in the taxation of profits – Transfer pricing issues.” Konstantin highlighted recent changes in legislation on the subject, spoke about emerging trends and described the opinion of the Tax Service on some controversial aspects of the practical application of existing rules. We thank Mr. Novoselov for professional presentation, and we hope to meet him at the future events!

The Legislation and Lobbying Committee also organized a great conference on June 27 on the trends of procedural law and legal practice in Russia. The conference was a great success as not only heads of legal and tax practices of leading law firms attended but also the judge of the Federal Arbitration Court Podvalnyj Igor O., and Professor of the Law Faculty of St. Petersburg State University, an expert in the field of procedural law, Michael Z. Schwartz.

The Committee on Marketing and Communications organized a wonderfully positive and useful event on how to integrate corporate values ​​into the life of every employee using the concept of Family Day. It should be noted that the meeting was held in the format of exchange of many years of experience in this matter, and the companies that have only just started thinking about holding an event in such a format, were able to learn new and useful information!

Also the Committee held a regular lecture on marketing on June 26th, devoted to competitors’ exploration. Participants learned about the methods of such exploration, development stages of a competitor, on which you should be especially careful, and the benefits that can be achieved in a competitive struggle in times of crisis.

Of course, you can’t fail to mention a business tour to the Industrial Park Greenstate, which took place on June 26th. We visited the industrial park of the company YIT Lentek in Gorelovo, where we got acquainted with the structure of the park, had a tour to the existing facilities such as Class A warehouses, manufactures of Pit-Product, Dermosil, etc. At the round table with a cup of coffee participants learned about the selection criteria for the production site of the company, the pros and cons of a particular investment decision.
