It’s time to play golf with SPIBA!
On July 22, 2019, SPIBA held Golf Picnic, a traditional Family Day picnic at the Gorki Golf & Resort, the only year-round golf resort in the North-West region for lovers of active lifestyle and comfortable holidays. The number of participants in 2019 exceeded 200 people, including SPIBA members, their relatives and friends. “Interest in golf is increasing every year and we are pleased that this year over 200 people visited SPIBA Golf Picnic. This is a great example of family vacation, business event and an Olympic sport collaboration! While spending time at the resort, our guests can not only keep themselves in excellent physical shape and relax with their families, but also establish business contacts”, commented Ekaterina Senina, General Director of Gorki Golf & Resort.
Interactive fun zones, open golf lessons, mini golf tournament, cycling and other sports activities were popular among picnic guests, and the competition element added excitement and fun to the participants.
The general sponsor of Golf Picnic, MTS, the largest Russian telecom operator and provider of digital services, established a lounge-zone where everyone could take a breath, hide from the bright summer sun, get a little distracted from golf, and play street jenga.
This year SPIBA expanded the entertainment program of the picnic and organized a performance of the unique Upsala Circus, the only circus for hooligans in the world, a socio-cultural project, where more than 90 children and teenagers from social risk groups and special needs are involved. The circus was sponsored by the Industrial Park “Mariyno” and Dentons St. Petersburg.
It is important to mention partners that supported the event: Coca-Cola HBC Russia, ATRIA, Baltika Breweries (part of the Carlsberg Group), KiiltoClean, Lybimy Kray, MARS / Wrigley, Subway, Beluga Boutique, Fazer, Danone, IL MIO and Radisson Royal Hotel, St Petersburg.
